IT Filevine Intern

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Innocence Project works to free the innocent, prevent wrongful convictions, and create fair, compassionate, and equitable systems of justice for everyone. Our work is guided by science and grounded in antiracism.

The Innocence Project is seeking an intern to support the IT Filevine Team. The IT Filevine Intern will report to the Director of IT and will work with other members of the Filevine team as needed. As an IT Filevine Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of our new case management system. Among the listed internship duties, your responsibilities will include assisting with the development of a Data Entry Manual, building templates for correspondence and legal documents, and assisting staff as they adapt existing workflows into a new platform.

This position will be a 10-week paid internship with a minimum requirement of 16 hours per week beginning in February 2025. The timeframe and schedule are flexible. The internship will be hybrid with at least one day per week in the office.

INTERNSHIP DUTIES

The IT CMS Intern will assist with as many of these areas as possible, as appropriate and necessary, but not necessarily all:

  • Assist Filevine CMS project managers with change management and implementation
  • Assist in creating and updating CMS training and data entry manuals
  • Assist Filevine CMS project managers in responding to support requests
  • Convert correspondence and other documents into templates following graphic standards guide 
  • Clean and maintain contacts database in partnership with volunteer labor support and employing rigorous data hygiene standards
  • Assist Filevine team and Department Heads as they analyze existing practices to identify opportunities for efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Information Systems, Business Administration,, or coursework in a related field
  • Basic knowledge of administrative best practices
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel

  • Enthusiasm for the work of the Innocence Project and for social justice, including a demonstrated commitment to public interest

SALARY RANGE

$19.00 per hour for undergraduate students - $21.00 per hour for students in a post-graduate program
